My progress disappeared

Progress is stored only on your device. It survives app updates, but deleting the app deletes your progress with it — there is no server copy. If your device backs up to iCloud or a computer, restoring that backup restores your progress too.

I want to start over

Settings → Reset Progress (tap it twice to confirm). This permanently erases everything: essence, blessings, heirlooms, your nemesis, and the almanac.

The tutorial again?

Settings → Replay Tutorial. The coach marks return on your next run.

Too hard? Too easy?

The difficulty dial on the main menu (◀ NORMAL / TORMENT I–XII ▶) is yours from the very first run. Higher torments mean fiercer foes and much richer rewards; Normal is always there when the depths win.

Does it need the internet?

No. The Descent plays fully offline, has no account, no ads, and collects no data — see the privacy policy.
